Brewer’s Blurb:
When Renaissance was started by Andy and Brian in a small country town in 2005 they could only have dreamt at how cool and hip craft beer was to become a decade later. Brewing in the “Boonies” sometimes makes us feel far removed from this ultra-hip craft beer scene of the big cities, but we are determined to bring you that hip flavour that your palate desires, like this fruity New Zealand hopped India Pale Ale. This beer has a nice complexity with a mixture of smooth malts balancing beautifully with the citrus, pine and fresh gooseberry flavours that are delivered by the best hops that Nelson has to offer. A real taste of New Zealand with an easy drinking character that keeps you reaching for the next bottle or pint again and again. Enjoy this beer on its own or with a ripe cheese board. The aroma is toasty, with a hint of sweetness and some earthy hop notes. Firm-bodied but not heavy, with a creamy texture, the dryish palate is full of roasted malt, coffeeish notes and a sustained bitterness.

Michael’s Notes:
I was sold on this beer based on the packaging alone, yet it turned out to be one of my favourites in New Zealand. Very close to Goose Island (my favourite IPA), it had a strong and sharp flavour. So glad I bought the six-pack!
