We arrived in Auckland late in the night on September 16th, 2017. We booked 12 nights in the city to give us enough time to prepare for the rest of the trip, the most important task being the acquisition of a campervan. The good news was that we didn’t need that much time and purchased a perfect van in just over a week, the bad news was that we were stuck in Auckland for more time than was necessary: Auckland is not the prettiest of towns, and combined with the less than ideal weather we\u00a0were getting, the city didn’t leave a big impression on us.<\/p>\n

That being said, we were still able to enjoy ourselves, as we had a few days of nice weather. We were also lucky were situated in an area that had a lot of nice restaurants. Overall I’d\u00a0say we came, we saw, and conquered, but could\u00a0have done it in half the time.<\/p>\n
