We chose Paihia as our base of operations for the Bay of Islands area, which was a cute little sleepy seaside town. The weather was less than favorable, and that combined with the fact that we were still in the low season made the town feel extra sleepy. That being said, we had some memorable walks, a favorite being along the coast during sunset.<\/p>\n
